The story behind...

Nordisk Finmekanik Industri A/S was founded in 1994 by Henrik Thomsen at Skallegårdsvej, Næstved. In 2005 due to expansion the entire company moved to almost new and very modern facilities at Centervej Syd in Tappernøje - a very central location only a few hundred metres from the motorway E45.

I 2011 the company expanded with a new production hall containing 24²m cleanroom area and a dedicated production facility for components to the medical device sector.

in 2024 Nordisk Finmekanik Industri A/S became a member of the AKJ Industri family of companies www.akj-industri.dk .

Since the beginning the clear goal for NFI has been to produce quality items at very competitive prices. This has been achieved by means of motivated and competent employees, who are considered the company’s most valuable asset combined with modern, high-tech machinery.  Together with the strict production management and efficient quality control, this has ensured the strong position of NFI as subcontractor for a number of Danish and foreign manufacturers.
